MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023500 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'adaptable fencing-wire tightening assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable fencing-wire tightening assistive device, comprising a body 1 fabricated with a handle 2 to be positioned in proximity to a sagged fencing wire, an imaging unit 3 integrated in the body 1 to determine distance of fencing wire from the body 1, a two-axis sliding unit 4 integrated on the body 1 to provide required translation to a rod 5 arranged on the sliding unit 4 for positioning the rod 5 in proximity to the sagged wire, plurality of switches 6 arranged on handle 2 to receive a range at which wire is to be tightened, a pair of L-shaped links 7 integrated on the rod 5 and connected by a hinge joint 8 for arranging the wire in between links 7 in twisted manner, a DC motor integrated with rod 5 to provide movement to rod 5 for tightening the fencing wire as per the user's requirements."
