MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020131 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'adaptable ear cleaning assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable ear cleaning assistive device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a fixed surface, multiple suction cups 2, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 determines presence of a user near platform 1, a microphone 4 receives user's command, a robotic arm 6 grip of a clean ear-bud from a chamber 5 to position on an expandable circular slot 7, a telescopically operated rod 8 positions slot 7 near user's face, a speaker 9 guides user to position user's ear near to secured ear-bud, a color sensor in sync with imaging unit 3 examines examining ear canal of user to determine deposition of ear-wax, a motorized sliding unit 10 translates rod 8 along with ear-bud in user's ear for positioning tip of ear bud near deposited ear-wax, a motorized circular slider provides a controlled movement to ear-bud's tip for carefully removing deposited ear-wax from user's ear-canal for cleaning user's ear."
