MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024923 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptable drilling/cutting assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable drilling/cutting assistive device, comprising a cylindrical L-shaped frame 1 having a first and second portion, a touch interactive display panel 3 is installed on the frame 1 for user input, a handle 4 fabricated on the first frame 1 to position the frame 1 in proximity to an object, an imaging unit 2 installed on the frame 1 to determine distance of surface of the object from the frame 1, a drawer arrangement 8 integrated in the frame 1 for positioning the second portion in proximity to the surface, plurality of blades 6 arranged on circular disc arranged on the second portion for arranging the blades 6 as per the evaluated pattern, a motorized hinge joint integrated between the blade and disc to for tilting the blades 6 on the surface as per the user-specified cavity."
