MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024854 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptable curtains handling device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Reetu; Astha; Devansh Bansal; and Rohit Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable curtains handling device, comprising a plate 1 developed to be installed on a fixed surface, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the plate 1 to determine distance of one end of curtain from the plate 1, plurality of buttons 3 that are accessed by a user for selecting a mode of operation to be performed on the curtain, telescopically operated L-shaped rod 4 for getting aligned towards the curtain's end, motorized hinges 5 to get aligned with the curtain, suction units 6 to grip on end portion of the curtain, motorized hinge joint 7 to tilt the rod 4 in a manner that the gripped curtain is folded, electronically controlled nozzle 8 to dispense a fragrance solution stored in a container 9 on the curtain and a speaker 10 to produce audio notification for the user regarding suggestion for drawing of curtain."
