MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022385 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 22, 2024, for 'adaptable clothes sewing assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable clothes sewing assistive device, comprising a body 1 positioned in proximity to sewing needle of a sewing machine, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 installed on the body 1 to determine a fixed surface on the machine, a suction unit 3 installed on the body 1 for affixing the body 1 on the machine, a touch interactive display panel 4 arranged on the body 1 for displaying multiple length adjustments pattern, a motorized clipper 5 integrated on the body 1 for gripping different portion of the cloth and a pair of motorized grippers 6 installed on the body 1 for turning/folding the portions of the cloth as required for continued sewing of the cloth as per the user-selected pattern."
