MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073947 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'adaptable clothes drying device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Narinder Kumar; Dr. Hardeep Singh; Jatin; and Krishna Bhanu.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable clothes drying device, comprising a cuboidal transparent structure 1 having four telescopic rods 2 with motorized omnidirectional wheels 3 for a locomotion of the structure 1, rectangular frame 4 having plurality of elongated horizontal telescopic members 5 for a hanging of clothes, sliding units 6 for an extension or retraction of the frame 4 from a side flap 7 of the structure 1 attached to the structure 1 by a hinge 8, telescopic arms 9 having rectangular mirrors 10 by a ball and socket joints 11 for reflecting a sunlight onto the clothes for drying, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 12 for recording and processing images in a vicinity of the structure 1 to determine a position of the mirrors 10 for reflecting the sunlight onto the clothes and an air blower unit 13 for blowing air onto the clothes for a drying of the clothes."
