MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020672 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'adaptable cloth trial assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Sahdev Singh; Vikas; Preeti Garg; and Gargi Chaudhary.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable cloth trial assistive device, comprising a body 1 having a first and second portion 3 positioned on a fixed surface, a touch interactive display panel 4 that is accessed by a user for selecting a user-desired pattern of fabric, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 installed on body 1 to determine dimensions of user's body 1, four motorized rollers 6 wrapped with different patterned fabric and based on selected fabric corresponding roller 6 rotate for unwrapping fabric which is gripped by two clamping unit 8, two motorized sliding units 7 translate unwrapped fabric towards front portion, a motorized vertical slider 9 translates fabric vertically downward, a transparent OLED screen 10 arranged at front portion which displays a transparent area corresponding to shape of a garment which results in appearance of unwrapped fabric through transparent area to allow user to visualize the garment made of selected fabric."
