According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable chopstick usage assistive device, comprising a wearable component 1 developed to be worn by a user on the user's wrist, an ultrasonic sensor for monitoring dimensions of user's wrist, a motorized roller 2 for tightening/loosening a looped strap coiled on the roller, a pair of elongated hollow members 3 for engaging chopstick with each of the members 3, a motorized iris lid 4 for inserting ends of chopsticks 3, plurality of suction units 5 to acquire grip on portion of chopsticks, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 to determine presence of food item, a motorized circular sliding unit 7 for positioning the gripped chopsticks, an angle sensor for monitoring angle of end of the chopsticks, a plurality of motorized hinges 8 to provide movements to members 3, motorized ball and socket joint 9 to provide rotational movement to the members 3, a friction sensor for monitoring friction."
