MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019851 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'adaptable child seating assistive device for bicycles.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable child seating assistive device for bicycles, comprises of extendable U-shaped body 101 constructed with plurality of plates 102 developed to be engaged over top tube of a bicycle, a pair of clamping unit 103 attached with body 101 for gripping top-tube, an imaging unit 104 installed on body 101 to detect body 101 dimensions of accommodated child, plurality of hinges 105 configured between plates 102 for tilting plates 102 towards/away from each other, a pair of supporting links 106 attached with lateral sides of body 101 for stabilizing body 101, a pair of horizontal panels 107 attached with free-ends of the body 101, each via a supporting bar, for allowing child to rest foot over panel 107 during prolonged usage, multiple motorized pop-out balls 108 configured on inner periphery of clamping unit 103 for orienting body 101 at an optimum position."
