MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013323 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'adaptable chain saw operating assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Bhawna Goyal.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable chain saw operating assistive device comprises of a circular frame 1 developed to be installed on handle of a chain saw, an imaging unit 2 for determining dimensions of handle, multiple electromagnetically powered springs 3 assembled with a plate 4 to get expanded/contracted for positioning the plate 4 on handle, a suction unit 5 to acquire a grip over handle in order to properly affix frame 1 on handle, a user's computing unit accessed by user for providing a required angle of tilting chain saw in order to perform a user-desired operation in accordance to which microcontroller regulates expansion/contraction of the springs 3 upto varying lengths for tilting chain saw as per user-desired angle."
