MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006929 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'adaptable cable laying assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Simarpreet Kaur; Dr. Mohit Srivastava; Hashir Saleem; and Suryawanshi.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable cable laying assistive device, comprising a frame 1 having plurality of plates 2 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, a display panel 3 arranged on the frame 1 for enabling user's input commands, an imaging unit 4 installed on the frame 1 for determine leveling of the surface, a concave-shaped motorized roller 5 integrated on each of the plates 2 and integrated with a flap 6 to translate the cable in order to lay said cable as per a user-specified path and a laser emitter 7 is integrated on the frame 1 to project laser light on defected portion of the cable in order to notify the user regarding the defect."
