MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020755 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'adaptable bread slicing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable bread slicing device, comprising a cylindrical frame 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, a plate 2 attached at base of frame 1 accessed by a user for accommodating a loaf of bread in frame 1, a touch interactive display panel 3 attached on frame 1 accessed by user for inputting details regarding dimensions into which loaf of bread is to be sliced, multiple extendable circular plates 5 integrated in frame 1 in a manner that a slit is formed in between each plates 5, a blade 6 positioning in alignment with one of slits corresponding to evaluates length of loaf, a motorized ball and socket joint for providing rotational movement to blade 6 through slit to cut bread, a multi-sectioned container 8 integrated with multiple electronically controlled nozzle 9s to dispense a spreader on sliced bread."
