MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073952 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'adaptable bottles packaging assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Satish Kumar; Dr. Rahul Mehra; Mahir Arora; and Md Arham Shams.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable bottles packaging assistive device comprises a cuboidal shaped body 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, plurality of suction cups are arranged underneath the body 1 to adhere to the surface for securing the body 1 on the surface, a microphone 2 for user input, a motorized flap 3 arranged on one side of the body 1 for enabling a user to accommodate a set of bottle, a motorized sliding unit 5 integrated in between the body 1 and the plate for translating the accommodated set in proximity to a pair of robotic arms 6 integrated in the body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 7 determine dimensions of the set, a motorized roller 8 coiled with a plastic sheet arranged vertically in the body 1 a motorized roller 8 coiled with a plastic sheet arranged vertically in the body 1."
