MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023448 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 25, 2024, for 'adaptable barricading device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable barricading device, includes a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, multiple motorized omnidirectional castor wheels 2 arranged underneath the platform 1 for moving platform 1, vertical member 4 arranged on the platform 1, a pair of motorized hinges 5 are integrated in between the platform 1 and telescopically operated rods 3, an artificial intelligence unit 6 attached to the member to capture surrounding images, plurality of extendable pushers 7 integrated on backside of the vertical member 4, an ultrasonic sensor integrated on member with imaging unit 6 for monitoring an average height of people, extendable sliding units 8 arranged on member extended for positioning a motorized roller 9, hard sheet coiled on roller 9 in order to increase height of barricade, a plurality of pressure sensors are integrated on pushers 7."
