MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024936 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptable animal feeding device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable animal feeding device, comprising a spherical frame 1 positioned over a ground surface and configured with a pair of semi-spherical members connected with each other via a motorized hinge 2, a shaft 3 wrapped with hay installed within the frame 1 accessed by an animal to consume hay, a microphone installed with the frame 1 to receive voice command, plurality of flaps 5 installed within cavities 4 by means of a hinge joint 6 to open a specific number of cavities 4, plurality of telescopic rods 7 installed over the frame 1 to position a suction unit 8 in contact with the surface for providing support to the frame 1, a weight sensor installed over the shaft 3 to determine weight of the wrapped hay, and a speaker installed over the frame 1 to produce a voice command to notify the user regrading refiling of the shaft 3."
