MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341021874 A) filed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on March 27, 2023, for 'actuator integration rig for alignment of inflight refuelling probe installation on military aircraft.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. P. C. Santhosh; Mr. D Yengaiah; Mr. S. Vijay Kumar; Mrs. B. V. Archana; and Mrs. K. Geetha.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This was done by developing the methodology and a test bench on which actuator of Lower door operating mechanism can be independently tuned for rigging and no further tuning is required while integrating it on Military Aircraft.. This invention is used to tune the actuator as per the specific aircraft requirement. This offline tuning has helped to adjust range, without adversely affecting the performance of Lower door operating mechanism or any of its associated interfaced equipments. When Power supply of 28 V DC is given, power supply indicator (L1) glows. When S1 in position 1:-Relay 1 energized and Motor 1&2 extends actuators, Lamps L3 & L5 glows till required extension movement of actuators. When S1 in position 2:- Relay 2 energized and Motor 1&2 retracts actuators, Lamps L2 & L4 glows till required retraction movement of actuators. Circuit breaker trips when excess (5 amp) current flow in the circuit."
