MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517057438 A) filed by Morosky, William; and Andersen, Leonhardt, Erie, U.S.A., on June 16, for 'actuated flossing tool.'

Inventor(s) include Morosky, William; and Andersen, Leonhardt.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An actuated flossing tool includes a tool body having a major tool axis, a first distal end, and a headstock at the first distal end. An initial string positioner and a rotatable string positioner, each having a first positioner arm and a second positioner arm, are both positioned on the tool at the headstock. A floss string extends from the first positioner arm to the second positioner arm on both the initial and rotatable string positioners. The floss strings of the rotatable and initial string positioners cross relative the headstock. The rotatable string positioner is positioned to rotate from a first string position to a second string position relative the headstock. An angle adjuster is positioned to allow adjustment of the rotatable string positioner from the first string position to the second string position. A vibrator is positioned to vibrate said floss strings during use."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 17, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/080413.
