MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202522114861 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Maharashtra, on Nov. 21, 2025, for 'active vibration suppression systems for mitigating torsional oscillations/vibrations in electric drives and servo applications.'
Inventor(s) include Sriram R; and Vivek Agarwal.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Active vibration suppression systems for mitigating torsional oscillations/vibrations in electric drives and servo applications. Embodiments herein disclose active vibration suppression systems for mitigating torsional oscillations/vibrations in electric drives and servo applications, wherein the active vibration suppression schemes are non-collocated active vibration suppression schemes. Embodiments herein disclose systems for improving the positioning accuracy of the load by minimizing the tracking error. system (500) for mitigating at least one of: torsional oscillations and vibrations in at least one of: electric drives and servo applications. The system (500) includes a compensator (Gd (s)) configured to generate a damping current component by processing a difference speed between a motor speed and a load speed. Further, the compensator (Gd (s)) is configured to mitigate at least one of: torsional oscillations and vibrations by augmenting the generated damping current component to an output of a classical speed controller. The system is at least one of a two inertia system, and a three inertia system."
