MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527064979 A) filed by Echion Technologies Limited, Cambridge, U.K., on July 8, for 'active electrode material.'
Inventor(s) include Zhang, Wanwei; Lewis, Joshua; and Groombridge, Alexander.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a method of making an active electrode material, the method comprising processing a precursor mixture comprising a niobium precursor, a titanium precursor, and a metal halide to form the active electrode material; wherein the atomic ratio of Nb:Ti in the precursor mixture is 2; wherein the atomic ratio of cations:anions in the precursor mixture does not correspond to the atomic ratio of cations:anions of TiNb2O7, Ti2Nb10O29, TiNb14O37, or TiNb24O62; and wherein the active electrode material has the crystal structure of TiNb2O7, Ti2Nb10O29, TiNb14O37, and/or TiNb24O62."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 14, 2023, under International application No.PCT/GB2023/053223.
