MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641061970 A) filed by Xbattery Energy Private Limited, Hyderabad, Telangana, on May 15, for 'active cell balancing system with single driver transformer-based dual n-channel inductor excitation.'
Inventor(s) include Sonu Mishra.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure proposes an active cell balancing system (100) with driver transformer-based inductor excitation. The active cell balancing system (100) employs an inductor-based active cell balancing topology that enables efficient transfer of excess electrical energy from a selected battery cell (102) to a battery pack (122). The voltage condition of each battery cell (102) is monitored by a cell monitoring unit (104), based on which a balancing circuit (106) corresponding to at least one selected battery cell (102) is enabled. The active cell balancing system (100) achieves efficient energy transfer without dissipative losses, operates reliably across a wide range of cell voltages, eliminates the requirement for high-side gate drivers and isolated power supplies, simplifies component selection by enabling the use of a single type of switching device, and allows controlled and predictable balancing current independent of instantaneous cell voltage mismatch."
