MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611052916 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on April 25, for 'a wear-resistant mold insert for high-volume production.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sanjay Sundriyal; and Shiv Narayan Prajapati.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wear-resistant mold insert assembly for high-volume production comprises an insert body seated in a mold pocket, the insert body having a cavity-defining working face, reinforced wear zones, peripheral support lands, a backing interface with a backing plate, and a retention arrangement. A thermal interface region cooperates with cooling paths to manage heat flow. The insert resists abrasion, erosion, deformation, and thermal instability during repeated molding cycles, thereby extending service life, maintaining dimensional accuracy, and reducing maintenance downtime."
