MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321087042 A) filed by Tork Motors Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 19, 2023, for 'a water discardable battery mounting assembly for a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Shelke, Kapil; Khade, Sushant; Mahatekar, Anup; and Borole, Mayur.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein a water discardable battery mounting assembly for vehicle, wherein said assembly comprises of a plurality of casings, each configured to house one or more batteries, wherein each casing is externally designed to have plurality of sides, edges and corners, wherein said corners are provided with angular slots formed by joining three adjacent sides of the casing at the end of its edges for enabling the discharge of water. The above configuration of the casings being part of the battery mounting assembly helps in quick discharge of water and act as anti-water accumulator."
