MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019859 A) filed by Aggarwal Rajeev, New Delhi, on March 18, 2024, for 'a walking aid for persons afflicted with parkinson's disease.'

Inventor(s) include Aggarwal Aanchal.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A walking aid for persons afflicted with Parkinson's disease, said walking aid comprising: a torch (2) operable by a switch (1), said torch (2) located at an operative top of the walking aid; laser beams (9), operable by a switch (1), which is a visual cue, said laser beams (9) located at an operative upper portion of the walking aid; an audible means (3) Hz to provide auditory cues to users; a control panel (4) and a controller (5) to control the laser beams (9) and the audible means (3); and a shock absorbing spring (10) at its operative middle portion."
