MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006506 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'a virtual home design and budgeting system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr Dinesh Arora; Dr. Simarpreet Kaur; Hashir Saleem; S Suryavanshi Katoch; Ayush Kumar Shah; Saloni Kashyap; Anjali; and Harsh Tiwari.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a self-sustained smart toilet (100) comprising a washroom (102); an automatic door opener (104) installed on a door of the washroom (102), to provide non-contacting opening of the door. Further, an ultraviolet light (106) installed in the washroom, to remove germs and bacteria from a toilet seat. Further, a lid opener installed on the toilet seat in the washroom, to provide automatic lid opening without touching. Further, an automatic wash basin (110) installed in the washroom, wherein the automatic wash basin (110) is equipped with a foot pedal to control water supply. Further, an air freshener and purifier (112) installed in the washroom, to provide clean air and fragrance."
