MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421038324 A) filed by Hyundai Mobis Co. Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on May 15, 2024, for 'a vehicle illumination system.'
Inventor(s) include Sopirala Venkata Saiteja; and Nitish Kumar Jha.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The vehicle illumination system (100) integrates multiple components to monitor and signal critical vehicle parameters. It comprises a plurality of sensors (102), including a fuel level sensor, an engine health sensor, and a hardware diagnostic sensor, configured to detect and report vital data. A control unit (104) processes signals from the sensors (102), compares them with predefined threshold values stored in a repository (110), and determines the corresponding vehicle status. The system includes parking lights (105) with multi-colored LED bulbs (106), configured to provide distinct color-coded indications or alerts, signaling various vehicle statuses and conditions. A set of actuators (108) controls the LED color display based on the processed signals from the control unit (104). Additionally, a user interface (112) is configured to display detailed vehicle status information, enabling users to understand the vehicle's condition effectively."
