MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611052918 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on April 25, for 'a variable geometry air intake system for engines.'
Inventor(s) include Pulkit Srivastava; and Dr. Shahazad Ali.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A variable geometry air intake system for engines includes an inlet mouth, a filter interface section, a main intake housing, a movable profile assembly, a guide rail set, an actuator unit, a position sensor, a pressure sensing port, an equalization chamber, and an outlet coupling. The movable profile assembly changes effective intake area and passage contour under controlled actuation to support improved low demand air velocity, reduced high demand restriction, smoother transient response, and moderated induction noise."
