MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018994 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on March 15, 2024, for 'a utility box of a two-wheeled vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Dahiya, Manjeet Singh; and Thakur, Vikash Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A utility box (100) of a vehicle (200) is disclosed. The utility box (100) includes a box-shaped structure (1) defining an enclosure (2), configured to accommodate an article. The box-shaped structure (1) is defined with a plurality of securing members (3) therein. A cover member (4) is configured to be pivotally coupled to the box-shaped structure (1). The cover member (4) includes a first portion (9) and a second portion (10) configured to be pivotable relative to the first portion (9). The second portion (10) is defined with a plurality of coupling members (5). The second portion (10) is operable between a locked condition (11) and an unlocked condition (12). The plurality of securing members (3) are configured to slidably receive and engage the plurality of coupling members (5). The cover member (4) is configured to cover at least a portion of the enclosure (2) in the locked condition (11)."
