MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202423004600 A) filed by Deere & Company, Moline, U.S.A., on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'a twine dispensing system.'

Inventor(s) include Thirumalai, Sathish; Shah, Jitendrakumar; Mishra, Saurabh; Siddheshwaran, Rajasekar; Kumar, Roushan; Mohite, Sunil; and Dharamkar, Mahesh.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides for a twine dispensing system (10) for a baler having a twine dispenser (12), an angle plate (26), a telescopic mechanism (14) operable by an actuator (28). The telescopic mechanism (14) linearly displaces the twine dispenser (12) between a home position (H) and an end position (E). The angle plate (26) selectively engages with the twine dispenser (12) to actuate the twine dispenser to the operative position. The twine dispensing system (10) is linearly operable along the length of the baler (1) by the telescopic mechanism (14) to minimize the operational height of the baler (1) which proving for a compact baler."
