MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521104999 A) filed by Pdpm Indian Institute Of Information Technology, Design And Manufacturing, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on Oct. 30, for 'a trolley for handling crates and a method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A trolley (100) for handling crates and a method (500) thereof is disclosed. The trolley (100) for handling crates comprising a main frame (102), a first platform (104) is slidably mounted on the main frame (102) for loading and unloading a plurality of crates, a plurality of wheels (106) are mounted to the main frame (102) for maneuverability, a second platform (124) is rigidly mounted at a lower rear end of the main frame (102), a lifting mechanism is mounted on the second platform (124) to raise and lower the first platform (104) relatively to the main frame (102), a plurality of sensors (138, 140) are provided to detect the weight of the crates placed on the first platform (104) and detect the height of the crates from the main frame (102), a first controller, and a power source."
