MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117516 A) filed by Army Design Bureau, New Delhi, on Nov. 26, 2025, for 'a tourniquet system integrated within a garment.'

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein is a tourniquet system (100) integrated within a garment (200). The tourniquet system (100) includes an inflatable bladder (102) adapted to be attached within one or more sleeves (202, 204) of the garment (200) at one or more predefined locations. Further, a pressurised fluid dispensing unit (104) is adapted to dispense a pressurised fluid at a predefined range of pressure. Further, a regulator unit (106) is disposed on the garment (200) and in fluidic communication with the inflatable bladder (102) and the pressurised fluid dispensing unit (104). The regulator unit (106) is adapted to be actuated to selectively release the pressurised fluid from the pressurised fluid dispensing unit (104) to the inflatable bladder (102), to inflate the inflatable bladder (102)."
