MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421038328 A) filed by Hyundai Mobis Co. Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on May 15, 2024, for 'a thermal management system for a battery of a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Vinay Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The thermal management system(100) for a battery of a vehicle comprises thermistors (104) for real-time temperature monitoring of the battery, generating temperature signals. A control module (108) processes these signals and generates actuation signals. Ambient air is supplied to the battery pack (106) through an ambient air inlet (110), while cooled air is directed to the battery through an HVAC air duct inlet (112), in fluid communication with the vehicle's HVAC system (102). A valve (114) in the HVAC air duct inlet (112) regulates airflow based on control signals, and a blower (116) circulates air through the battery pack (106). The ambient air inlet (110) and HVAC air duct inlet (112) work in integration to enhance thermal regulation of the vehicle battery pack (106)."
