MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411072843 A) filed by Central Council For Research In Homoeopathy, New Delhi, on Sept. 26, 2024, for 'a system to detect potency in medicines and a method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Kaushik, Subhash; Ramteke, Sunil; Narula, Ritika Hassija; Khurana, Anil; S, Balaji; Mendiratta, Jugal K; and K, Sripadaraja.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure is related to a system (100) for detecting potency in homoeopathy medicines. The system (100) includes a Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Sensor (MEMS) device (102) with a plurality of Sub Miniature version A (SMA) terminals (210), a microprocessor (104). The MEMS device (102) includes a plurality of Sub Miniature version A (SMA) terminals (210) configured to provide an input feed and an output feed in the MEMS device (102). Further, the microprocessor (104) is communicatively coupled with the MEMS device (102) and configured to determine a resonating frequency of the medicine sample based on one of isolation and transmission of the SAW over the medicine sample. The MEMS device (102) is configured to detect potency of the medicine sample based on the determination of the resonating frequency of the medicine sample."
