Inventor(s) include George Vellanikkaran; Prajwal Vemula Nagaraj; Ashis Kumar Nayak; and Vikram Manjunatha.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system to control a pressure in a brake boosting system of a vehicle. ABSTRACT Disclosed are techniques to control a pressure in a brake boosting system of a vehicle with a controller(15) to control a pressure in a brake boosting system(1) of a vehicle, said brake boosting system comprising the brake booster(2) comprising the vacuum chamber(7) having the vacuum pressure (p) and the pressure chamber(8) having the atmospheric pressure (P), said vacuum chamber and said pressure chamber separated by a membrane (9). Said controller(15) adapted to provide the vacuum pressure based on an actual ambient pressure of an actual surrounding of the vehicle, and an actual deceleration time taken by the vehicle when a braking force is applied to the brake pedal (3).The actual ambient pressure is determined by comparing the actual deceleration time taken by the vehicle when the braking force is applied in the actual surrounding of the vehicle, with a known deceleration time taken by the vehicle when the braking force is applied at a known ambient pressure of a known surrounding of the vehicle."
