MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006363 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'a system for virtual intensive care unit.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Dinesh Arora; Shashank Shekhar Mishra; Dr. Harbinder Singh; and Dr. Pardeep Gaur.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The system (100) for virtual Intensive Care Unit comprises at least one sensor for detecting vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation level, and body temperature. Further, at least one electrocardiogram (ECG) module for measuring electrical activity of the heart. Further, at least one air quality module for detecting hazardous air conditions. Further, at least one integrated oxygen mask dispensing system accessible for emergency use. Further, at least one air purifier module to improve indoor air quality. Further, wireless communication capabilities for transmitting health data to a cloud-based application. Further, at least one emergency button notifies nearby hospitals in case of critical health events. Further, at least one integrated medication ordering and delivery system utilizing a mobile app connected to local pharmacies. Further, at least one drone delivery system controlled for autonomous medicine delivery and dual charging capabilities through solar panels and an AC power source."
