MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611005564 A) filed by Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Jan. 20, for 'a system for kernel fusion and method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Jaskaran Singh Basra.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The operating system's kernel, as its name suggests, is a key and crucial element that primarily connects software to hardware. In other words, it links the user to the hardware in a way that depends on the kernel of an operating system for both performance and optimization. Now,If a kernel is the primary software application responsible for an operating system's performance and optimization, then if we modify some of the code in a kernel or combine two different kernels to achieve better performance and optimization, our job is done, because in the end what we want from an operating system is performance."
