MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641025189 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 3, for 'a system for cleaning windshield of a vehicle and a method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (100) and a method (300) for cleaning windshield of a vehicle (200) includes a manifold (102) configured within the vehicle (200) to selectively draw an aqueous vinegar stored in a first tank (202) and a hot water stored in a second tank (204); a vision sensor (106) positioned at the windshield to generate coordinates over the windshield upon detecting presence of organic residues on the windshield; a plurality of spray nozzles (108) configured at A pillars of the vehicle (200) to initially spray the aqueous vinegar over the organic residue to rinse and secondly sprays hot water after a predefined dwell time period over the organic residues on windshield upon receiving coordinates; and a wiper position sensor (110) configured on wipers of vehicle (200) to actuate wipers upon receiving coordinates while hot water being sprayed over the organic residues to wipe off the rinsed organic residues from the windshield."
