MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611002009 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Jan. 8, for 'a system for an agro eco-tourism model for sustainable ecosystem restoration.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an agro eco-tourism system (100) integrating exotic flora, water features, and structured plantations for sustainable ecosystem restoration. The system (100) includes a centrally positioned circular pond (102) with lotus and waterlilies, concentric circular dragon fruit plantations (104, 106) supported by reinforced pillars (108) and iron rings (122), boundary exotic fruit trees, flowering creepers (126) supported by fencing (112), interlocked pathways (114), lawn grass (116), and corner structures (118) such as huts (128), stingless bee units (130), fountain ponds (132), and exotic orchards (134). The system (100) combines aesthetic landscaping, pollinator conservation, eco-education, and farm income generation, providing rural employment, recreational opportunities, and sustainable biodiversity management in a small-scale farm setting."
