MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511127368 A) filed by GD Goenka University, Sohna, Haryana, on Dec. 16, 2025, for 'a system for ai-assisted brain tumour detection using a qr code.'

Inventor(s) include Nidhi Sharma; Meet; Yash; Rishu; Prateek; Parth Mallik; and Deepak.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention which relates to a system(100) for AI-assisted brain tumour detection using a QR code includes a main computing device(102), a cloud computing device(104) and a portable computing device(110). The main computing device(102) is operatively connected to an MRI machine and acquires the MRI scan data from the MRI machine. The cloud computing device(104) which is connected to the main computing device(102) includes a cloud database(106) and a cloud server processor(108). The cloud database(106) stores MRI scan data, patient identifiers, diagnostic history, and machine learning models including convolutional neural network models for tumour detection and segmentation. The main computing device(102) generates a QR code embedding the MRI scan data onto the generated QR code. The portable computing device(110) is connected to the cloud computing device(104). The user scans the QR code using the portable computing device(110) and receives the diagnostic output generated by the cloud server processor(108)."
