MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321080605 A) filed by Tata Motors Limited, Maharashtra, on Nov. 28, 2023, for 'a system for adjusting a pedal assembly of a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Rahul Mohanrao Pathak; Chandrakant Gopalrao Musale; Ashish Arun Deshpande; and Sachin Latare.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Present disclosure discloses a system (100) for adjusting a pedal assembly (10) of a vehicle. The system (100) includes a first bracket (2) movably connected to a structural member (1) and extending in a vertical direction of the vehicle. The first bracket (2) is displaceable vertically relative to the structural member (1). Further, a second bracket (3) is attached to the first bracket (2) and is movable along with the first bracket (2). Additionally, a mounting member (4) is movably coupled to the second bracket (3) and adapted to accommodate the pedal assembly (10). The mounting member (4) is horizontally displaceable on the second bracket (3), relative to the structural member and is vertically displaceable along the first bracket for adjusting position of the pedal assembly (10) in the vehicle. This configuration of the system (100) enables all types of drivers having different physical dimensions to comfortably drive the vehicle."
