MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117564 A) filed by UPES, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Nov. 26, 2025, for 'a system for a solar electric motorhome operating under indian road conditions.'

Inventor(s) include Debashis Majumder; and Saugata Kundu.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a system for a solar electric motorhome optimized for Indian road conditions, comprising a battery pack (210) with high-capacity lithium-ion cells arranged in series-parallel and thermally managed within a dedicated compartment beneath the chassis, a DC electric motor (220) and motor controller (221) forming an integrated drivetrain electrically linked via high-current busbars, and a solar panel array (230) with both fixed and fold-out photovoltaic panels. An inverter/charger and charge controller unit (240) housed in a climate-controlled enclosure interfaces between the battery pack (210) and the solar panel array (230), while a home energy management and distribution panel (250) ensures stable onboard power distribution, aided by auxiliary charging ports (260) and robust structural assemblies (270) for secure mounting and vibration damping."
