According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (100) for for starting an electric vehicle (EV) includes a hand operated Direct Current (DC) generator (104) for use to generate supplemental electric power, when a low-voltage condition of the auxiliary source (102) is detected during start of the EV. The system (100) includes a voltage booster (116) to boost voltage level of the generated electric power and a capacitor bank (106) to store the generated supplemental electric power. A controller (108) is coupled between the capacitor bank (106) and a starting circuit of the electric vehicle to supply the generated supplemental electric power to the starting circuit for jump starting of the electric vehicle. The controller (108), during low voltage condition of auxiliary source (102), instructs a Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) (114) of the EV, to prioritize jump start functionalities by disconnecting supply of power to auxiliary loads."
