MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421014993 A) filed by Ettrick Innovations Private Limited, Maharashtra, on Feb. 28, 2024, for 'a system and method for secure recording, managing and storing surveillance-based data using a blockchain.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system and method for secure recording, managing and storing surveillance-based data using a blockchain is disclosed. The system captures real-time streaming data using CCTV cameras and stores the captured data in units of a predetermined section within a blockchain using a plurality of monitoring nodes. Thereafter, the system assigns a node identifier to each block indicating a node with the right to store the next block."
