MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105137 A) filed by Manipal University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'a system and method for mitigating negative spillover of pro-environmental behavior in tourism through gamification.'

The app also has social features, so friends can compete and share their progress. The strategy of the present invention involves teaming up with green-minded travel companies to offer real rewards, like discounts and special access, which helps build a community of travelers who care about their impact."
