Inventor(s) include Dr. Prashant Jain; Dr. Ati Jain; Nikhil Rajoriya; Aman Solanki; Mohit Rajoriya; and Dr. Ritu Tandon.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a system and method for integrated news exploration and artificial intelligence-based summarization. The system (10) comprises a news retrieval module (100) configured to retrieve news articles from one or more external news data sources and a content presentation module (110) configured to present the retrieved articles with associated metadata in an organized content layout. An artificial intelligence service module (120) generates on-demand summaries of selected news articles using a locally executed transformer-based summarization model. A summary presentation mechanism (130) dynamically inserts the generated summary in proximity to the corresponding news article to preserve contextual continuity. A dependency verification module (140) verifies availability of required artificial intelligence resources only upon activation of a summarization request and provides informative feedback when such resources are unavailable. A control and coordination module (150) ensures non-blocking and responsive operation. The invention improves privacy, usability, and responsiveness over existing news aggregation and summarization systems."
