MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641017285 A) filed by Flowsphere India Private Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Feb. 16, for 'a system and method for informal economy intelligence using proxy signals.'
Inventor(s) include Sharma, ASV Nagesh Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system and method are disclosed for inferring economic activity in informal markets through proxy signal analysis. The system comprises a plurality of edge based sensing nodes distributed within a geographic area. Each sensing node includes a processor configured to perform spectral analysis of ambient radio frequency congestion, a cross correlation engine configured to map radio frequency congestion against local utility power fluctuations, and a communication module configured to transmit metadata when proxy signals exceed dynamically adjusted baselines. The sensing node further comprises a non line of sight thermal imaging sensor configured to distinguish between human transit and stationary commercial clusters, and a passive sniffer module configured to capture transient device identifiers, apply stochastic filtering, and calculate dwell time to estimate transaction capacity. The method enables generation of commercial intensity indices without reliance on direct transaction data or personally identifiable information, thereby supporting applications including municipal resource allocation and credit scoring."
