MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611050676 A) filed by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on April 21, for 'a system and method for evaluating and predicting grassroots democratic strength of administrative units.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Amrita Chaudhary.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a system and method for evaluating and predicting grassroots democratic strength of administrative units using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques. The system integrates multi-source governance data comprising structured administrative records and unstructured citizen-driven inputs through a data acquisition and fusion framework. A data processing module performs normalization and feature extraction, followed by computation of a composite governance strength index based on multiple evaluation pillars including participation depth, inclusiveness and representation, fiscal autonomy, transparency and accountability, and institutional effectiveness. A dynamic weighting engine adaptively assigns weights to the evaluation pillars based on contextual and historical parameters. A predictive analytics module employing machine learning models identifies governance vulnerabilities and forecasts potential decline using temporal and behavioral patterns."
