MUMBAI, India, June 16 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611053965 A) filed by Dr. Anamika Goel; Mr. Aniket Shran Singh; Mr. Ayush Gupta; and Mr. Dev Narayan Singh, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on April 28, for 'a system and method for entity-aware financial sentiment analysis using hybrid transformer architecture for automated trading signal generation.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Anamika Goel; Mr. Aniket Shran Singh; Mr. Ayush Gupta; and Mr. Dev Narayan Singh.
The application for the patent was published on June 5, under issue no. 23/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention described herein comprises a method and system for financial sentiment analysis and automated trading signal generation via an entity-sensitive hybrid transformer model with an associated attention mechanism. Financial sentiment analysis systems existing prior to the present invention lack the capability to interpret multi-entity textual information due to the lack of a system capable of context-based prioritizing of information based on the identity of the entities involved. This invention solves the aforementioned problem by using a transformer model to generate contextualized embeddings based on the context of the entities involved and then assigning weights to those entities based on their importance via an attention mechanism. Keywords: Financial sentiment analysis, transformer-based model, FinBERT, entity-aware attention mechanism, natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, automated trading system, decision support system, contextual embedding, algorithmic trading."
