MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521115963 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on Nov. 21, 2025, for 'a system and method for early detection of diseases using speech data.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A computer-implemented system and method (100) for early prediction of Parkinson's disease is disclosed. The system utilizes biomedical voice features derived from patient speech data and employs a machine learning framework integrating preprocessing, standardization, class balancing, and feature selection. A Random Forest classifier trained on optimized features provides accurate prediction of Parkinson's likelihood, achieving perfect performance metrics. The invention further includes a user interface for real-time diagnostic output, making it suitable for telemedicine and healthcare applications."
