MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511114012 A) filed by Graphic Era, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Nov. 19, 2025, for 'a system and method for early detection of cardiovascular diseases using non-invasive ai-enabled retinal imaging.'
Inventor(s) include Rahul Kumar; Durgesh K. Jaiswal; Pankaj Gautam; Debasis Mitra; and Sourav Chattaraj.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a non-invasive AI-enabled retinal imaging system for early cardiovascular disease detection. The system comprises a high-resolution retinal imaging module (10) with digital imaging and precise optical lenses, an illumination assembly (20) with light-emitting diodes and diffuser elements for uniform retinal illumination, and a sensor and image processing unit (30) for digitizing and preprocessing images via noise reduction, contrast adjustment, and filtering. An AI computing module (40) employs a deep learning framework to extract microvascular biomarkers from the preprocessed images, while a communication and telemedicine interface (50) transmits real-time risk stratification outputs and receives updates. A power management system (60) ensures stable operation of all modules, offering an integrated, efficient solution for early detection and monitoring of cardiovascular abnormalities."
