MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641051547 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on April 22, for 'a system and method for dynamic fraud risk propagation in multi-tier supply chain networks.'
Inventor(s) include Charanya; and Abdur Rahman S.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a system (100) and method for detecting fraud in multi-tier supply chain networks. The system (100) comprises a data collection module (1) configured to receive supply chain data, a supply chain network construction module (2) configured to generate a graph comprising entity nodes and relationship edges, and an initial risk assessment module (3) configured to assign risk scores based on anomaly indicators. A dynamic risk propagation module (4) propagates risk scores across interconnected entity nodes using predefined influence factors. A fraud cluster detection module (5) identifies clusters of entity nodes based on propagated risk scores. A monitoring and alert module (6) monitors risk levels and generates signals indicative of risk. The system (100) employs graph-based modeling and iterative risk propagation across multi-tier entity relationships."
